"We purchased this product because it would serve as both an air conditioner and a heater. When we received the unit, we felt that the design was clean and suitable for use inside a home. So far it is working fine, and we especially like the oscillation feature. It just so happened that the following weekend after the unit arrived, our home's central air conditioner went out. It was a day or so before it was running again, so my husband and I used the new portable unit in our bedroom to keep it cool. Temperatures outside were in the upper nineties with about 60%+ humidity. The area being cooled was about 320 square feet, and this portable AC kept the area comfortable at 73 degrees. We would recommend this to others. It is a good portable unit that can be used to cool or heat an office, hobby room, or bedroom without having to keep the remainder of the house or building the same temperature. It can also be very helpful as a backup to keep at least one room cool or warm if the central air conditioning or heat goes out."
