Description

From industrial-grade fans to air circulators, every Air King fan is precision-designed, engineered, and thoroughly tested to meet the high standards customers expect. The Air King 9155 window exhaust fan is no exception and offers high volume air movement at an affordable price.

The 9155 by Air King is a 16" reversible window exhaust fan made for windows 26.5" to 34.5" wide with a minimum opening of 22" high. The heavy-duty powder coated steel front grill with ABS plastic blade is built to last while the fan housing is made of impact-resistant plastic. Integrated extender panels are easy to adjust and allow for a perfect fit every time. The Air King 9155 window fan also utilizes a 120-volt, 3-speed 1/16 HP permanently lubricated, permanent split capacitor motor to provide trouble-free, super-quiet operation that won't disturb your environment.

Revolutionary Storm™ Guard technology allows the window to be closed behind the fan without having to uninstall the unit (great for use during inclement weather), and like every other Air King fan, the 9155 is OSHA- and UL-listed for safety and quality.

Review Title: Money Saving Powerhouse
Comments: I live in a poorly ventilated, large one room loft apartment with 14 foot ceilings. Two air conditioners and a ceiling fan can work all-evening to cool off the place, or else this little window fan can do it in 30 minutes. And save $$ in the process.

Review Title: FANTASTIC
Comments: I am VERY satisfied with the fan. I use it as an exhaust fan to keep my smoke out of the house. Since I'm a smoker, it is important to me to keep the smoke out and this fan does that. I put it in a window, and I had NO trouble putting it in myself. Since I live alone, it is important that I can manage things myself. You gave good instructions and all of the right parts. I am a very satisfied customer and I have NO complaints!!!

Review Title: Summer is off to a better start
Comments: This fan was easy to put together and is efficient. There are many plastic parts but it does an excellent job cooling a 1000 square foot loft apartment with 14 foot ceilings. I would trust it over the smaller models available at Bed Bath & Beyond

Review Title: Air king 9155 window exhaust fan
Comments: I am asthmatic, this is the first time I experienced an on and off asthma for 6 weeks. I was really bothered, so I checked with my doctor. I was given albuterol and some maintenance pills. It really helped a lot but what really made me feel good is the use of exhaust fan. I highly recommend having air king window exhaust fan, you won't regret it.

Comments: I purchased the Air King 9155 16" Window Exhaust Fan and it has performed beautifully. We have a two story house and believe me; heat only rises in the summer. With the fan in our west window, it pulls air from any window or door that is open. It has been very hot this summer and it definitely makes our upstairs bearable to sleep in. The fan runs quietly and we haven't had any problems with it. Our previous fan lasted 15 years. We'll see how this one stands up to that.

Review Title: Excellent buy for the price
Comments: I bought this fan after researching window "exhaust" fans on the web. I create jewelry and do a lot of soldering, pickling, etc in one of my converted bedrooms. I've tried other means to vent the fumes etc outside but knew I really wanted an exhaust fan. This one works like a charm in removing the fumes from my workshop. It's reasonably quiet and I tend to run it on high. I have fairly large windows and I checked in advance to be sure that the sliding plastic adjustment panels would meet my needs. They were a little short but I bought the fan anyway, removed the panels, and mounted the fan to my own set of wooden (home made) panels. I could have bought the larger size fan and its panels would have worked in my window but I didn't really want or need a larger blade. The ability to close my blinds and window behind this fan is a terrific feature; the fan remains in place and I just open and close the window/blinds as needed. It's been too hot to use the reversal feature and draw cool air into the house but I look forward to doing this in the fall. I'd buy this fan again in a heartbeat!

Comments: The fan does what we want, which is to draw in cool air at night. We purchased it because it seemed like a durable item, unlike cheap box store fans. Only time will tell if it holds up.

Review Title: Exactly what I was looking for.
Comments: We live in an old 2 story house that isn't air conditioned. Last year our window exhaust fan died so this summer I had to find a new one. No local stores carried them so I googled it, the Air King 9155 came up so I checked into it. Believe me, hot air only rises in the summer and our upstairs was almost unbearable to be in. At least 10 degrees hotter then first floor. Received the fan within a week of ordering it. Easy to install. We put it to exhaust the air out for air circulation. Have had 12 90* plus days so far this summer. Couldn't live upstairs without the Air King 9155. Thanks Air & Water.

Review Title: Window exhaust fan
Comments: This fan does a fine job of moving air around my house, but compared to my old fan it doesn't seem to move as much air. It seems that the fan motor in the old fan ran faster. This is not a complaint. Thank you.

Review Title: Excellent Product
Comments: We bought this for our uninsulated garage. The freezer was having a very difficult time cooling. It has lowered the temperature significantly. Totally trouble free.

Review Title: Great money saver
Comments: I put this fan in my attic window. Cools the attic space, and the whole 2nd story below. Don't need air conditioning now, so it's well worth the price for the savings.

Review Title: Blown away
Comments: I am one of the minority of people who chooses to live without air conditioning. As a child I learned the art of controlling air flow to remain cool on scorching hot days. There are two important elements to this strategy-one is to block out the sun and heat, two is to have a powerful fan which has both exhaust and air flow features. This fan is a perfect choice. And the added bonus is that it is so much quieter than the fans of yesteryear. The box fans that are so popular these days cannot compare. I was "blown away" to find a fan that worked as well as those from my childhood.

Review Title: Looks good, too big
Comments: I own two of their older 9600 brands and they work great. The only problem I have with them is that the structural rigidity of the lower ledge is a little bit weak. This causes the bottom ledge to vibrate loudly against the window sill when the fan is running at higher speeds. I little bit of anti-vibration rubber stripping from Home Depot solved the problem perfectly. I looked into getting this fan as the constructions looks like it will solve that problem but I don't have 22inches of clearance in my windows :( If you windows are big enough I certainly recommend the Air King line of window fans!!

Review Title: Perfect replacement!
Comments: More than 50 years ago, my mom and grandparents installed an exhaust fan in the kitchen window that was able to draw air all the way through the house through an open window at the other end. In a So Cal summer, this cooled the whole house right down in the evenings. When that good old fan's electrical cables all gave up recently, I worried about finding a replacement to do the same job. I shouldn't have. This fan fits in the old casement window beautifully and still has enough strength to draw air right on through from the other end of the house. Thank you so much!
