One of the key factors to choosing an ice maker is determining how much ice you'll need. This will help you determine the size of the unit. After all, there's nothing worse than running out of ice in the middle of a party. Larger countertop ice makers can produce up to 35 pounds of ice per day while smaller ice makers can make up to 28 pounds of ice per day. Anything more than this will require a commercial or undercounter unit.
