Description
Where traditional air conditioning is unavailable, impractical or cost prohibitive it is incredibly convenient to use the KuulAire KA50 Portable Evaporative Swamp Cooler. It is easy to operate, easy to clean and easy to maintain and provides cool, fresh and filtered air.Use the KuulAire KA50 portable evaporative swamp cooler all year round as a cooler, fan and humidifier. The strength of the cooling is fully adjustable with the included three fan speed settings. The oscillating louvers featured can change the direction of the cooling as well.

Comments: This Port-A-Cool works well for a small room, to keep it cool, without using your expensive A/C. I used it out on the porch a few times too! Be sure to change the water every few weeks to prevent clogging of the pump. Especially in the hard water areas. The water change is easy, pull the plug (while the unit is outside) let it drain, and refill. That simple!

Comments: We live in a very dry climate (New Mexico), so the purpose of buying this cooler is to add moisture to the air in the home. It certainly meets or exceeds our expectations. Initially, there was an odor that was in the air, but after about a week or so, it is hardly noticed. The operating instructions pointed this out, so it was no surprise. The cooler is a little noisy, but easy to adapt to it. We look forward to using it during the winter, too, as we get shocked quite often while touching metal objects (moulding, light switches, etc). We would certainly recommend this cooler to anyone, in fact we already talked to a neighbor about it, and gave it high marks. Thanks for a great product!

Comments: The KA50 was recommended to us by local friends. We have not been satisfied with out unit. It has not really "cooled" the room it is in. It is more like a high priced, over powered fan. We have tried ice in the water, but without a noticeable difference. Subsequently, we wouldnt recommend this to our friends in Michigan. Maybe this works better in a different locale? We would have purchased another unit if it had worked. Now we are not considering an additional purchase.
