Why do I need to vent my portable air conditioner?
Portable air conditioners are a great tool for cooling homes and offices. They're easy to move from place to place, and are perfect for spot cooling or providing supplemental cooling when central air conditioning is not enough.
The only set-up required is venting the unit through a window to remove the hot air extracted from the air in the room. Fortunately this is very easy to do, and only takes about five minutes with the included window kit.
Step-by-step venting instructions
Extend the slide connector to fit your window.
The slide connector is designed to fit any kind of window imaginable, and additional extenders are available for larger windows
Close the window tightly to hold the connector in place.
Connect the exhaust hose (or hoses) to the back of unit.
Avoid bends in the hose, since this can result in overheating and unexpected shut offs.
Extend the hose towards window. Try and use shortest length possible, as this will increase the efficiency of the portable AC unit.
Connect the exhaust hose(s) to the connector in window.
You are now ready to use your portable air conditioner!
